Theresa May speaks on Brexit in Stoke-on-Trent

  • Says that 'we all have a duty to implement the 2016 referendum result'
  • A no-deal Brexit would cause significant disruption in the short-term
  • A no-deal outcome can be taken off the table by voting for her deal
  • The more likely outcome is paralysis in parliament which leads to no Brexit
  • Says that have secured valuable assurances from EU on Brexit deal
  • Letters published today have a legal force
  • But recognises that the letters do not go as far as some lawmakers want
  • Have seen lawmakers who will support the deal after previous doubts
  • Doesn't believe should extend Article 50

The letters certainly have a legal force but they are very much the same legal force as what was agreed upon back in November though. If anything, I'd be picky here and say that her view of the most likely outcome being a parliament paralysis which turns into a no Brexit outcome as being pound bullish.
