UK's Davis: Certain that can avoid hard border whatever the outcome of Brexit trade talks

• All sorts of possibilities for frictionless border with Ireland
• Withdrawal agreement payment dependent on whole deal being sorted out

This feels like a repeat of last week again. And we shouldn't expect anything new until the EU summit later this week. "Trade talks" will be the focus, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have things all over the place again.

Cable is down to 1.3375 now after encountering sellers at 1.3430. The dollar may be weak today, but sellers remain in sterling and that's helping to keep the pair down.
