Claims taking procedures continue to be severely disrupted in the Virgin Islands. The ability to take claims has improved in Puerto Rico and they are now processing backlogged claims.

The Weekly US employment claims came in at 239K vs 232k estimate.

  • The four-week average came in at 231.25K, down from 232.5K
  • Continuing claims came in at 1901K vs 1885K estimate. Wesley continuing claims were at 1884K
  • The largest increases in initial claims for the week ending October 28 were in Puerto Rico (+2,677), California (+1,412), Ohio (+823), Indiana (+753), and Michigan (+640).
  • The largest decreases were in Georgia (-1,531), Florida (- 1,263), Kentucky (-876), Missouri (-832), and New York (-786).
