Interesting. Those that work in steel, aluminium production in the US would be beneficiaries of the tariffs .... but those that work with the materials far, far outnumber them and will be negatively impacted. Not to mention consumers.
Still ... I'd be reluctant to think logic will have much to do with the decision to impose tariffs. Simplistic headlines more likely the driver - MAGA!!!! (not to mention votes)

More ... apparently the meeting has been arranged directly by Cohn, part of efforts inside the admin to stop them going ahead .... that's the chatter anyway
