Nasdaq leads the way

US stocks surged into the close and the major indices are going out at record highs and also very near the highs for the day. The gains are starting to take your breathe away.

  • The S&P is ending up 33.35 points ro 1.17% at 2872.61.
  • The Nasdaq is up 94.609 points or 1.28% at 7506.77. First close above 7500 for that index
  • The Dow is up 220.34 points or 0.83% at 26613.40.

  • The Nasdaq is up 8.73%

  • The Dow is up 32.41%

  • Intel. They reported better earnings after the close and ended up 10.55% today.

Apple today rose by 0.23% but for the week did not participate in the sharp run-up has concerns about iPhone sales weighed on the stock.
