A preview of the economic calendar for the European session trading today

Howdy, everyone! It's Friday already! The Asian session was rather calm and so far there are no major moves in the market just yet - although gold is attempting a breakout from the resistance pocket that I highlighted here yesterday.

Anyway, here is what's coming up on the calendar for European trading today:

0745 GMT - France Dec final CPI data

The final reading for French inflation numbers. Not really a market mover, as these are the final print - usually expected to be within range of the preliminary figures. You can review the preliminary readings here.

0800 GMT - Spain Dec CPI data

Spanish inflation numbers for the month of December. The CPI y/y reading is expected to fall to 1.2% from 1.7% prior. Not a major data point, but since the ECB has inserted the "possible change to forward guidance" rhetoric yesterday, expect inflation data points to take more precedence in the months to come.

0900 GMT - Italy Nov industrial production data

Not a substantial data point on the day after the Eurozone reading was already released yesterday here.

And that's about it for European trading today! A light one on the calendar to be fair. Anyway, hope you all have a nice day ahead and as always, good luck with your trading!
