Moderna had earlier withheld supply of 1.6 million vaccine doses in Japan after a report of contamination

Japanese prime minister, Yoshihide Suga, is out to ease concerns by saying that this won't impact the country's vaccination schedule severely. The health ministry claims that there were reports on this dating as far back as 16 August.

Amid the whole contamination issue, ANA has announced it is halting all on-site vaccinations while adding that roughly 4,700 shots from the supposed contaminated Moderna lot have already been administered.

So far though, officials are maintaining that there had been no cases reported of health issues related to contaminated shots issued to the public.
