The Shahara oilfield is back in business

A report from Bloomberg is saying that production has resumed following the halt early this morning. It is citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

The closure of the pipeline from the field to the Zawiya refinery earlier was one of the reasons that has helped to keep oil prices underpinned in spite of the poor performance in equities during the Asian session.

WTI is now trading at $61.75 while Brent is at $64.77, up by 0.82% and 0.62% respectively on the day.
