US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew has been working the phones hard. The Treasury Dept said he spoke with senior ministers of the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Britain, Germany and Singapore on the need to press Russia on Ukraine.
Call it a posse of penance, a formation of forfeiture, a cartel of castigation.
