Little ups and downs at the end of the day
The European major indices are ending the day mixed with little ups and little downs:
- German DAX, -0.21%
- France's CAC, unchanged
- UK's FTSE, +0.25%
- Spain's Ibex, +0.25%
- Italy's FTSE MIB, -0.56%
- Portugal's PSI 20, +0.16%
In the benchmark 10 year note sector, the yields are showing changes of less than 1 bps for each, with some up and some down a bit.
In other markets as London traders look to exit:
- Spot gold is down -$3.00 at $1229.94
- WTI crude oil traded to the lowest level since April, but has rebounded and is up $0.36 or 0.59% at $63.52
In the US debt market, yields are lower with the yield curve (2-10 year spread) coming in as well. The 10 year is down -2.5 bps. The 30 year is down -3.3 bps.
The GBP is the strongest currency. The CHF is the weakest. The USD is mixed but a little lower now.
US stocks are mixed with Nasdaq shares under the most pressure. FANG stocks are trading lower. Amazon is down -3.35%, Alphabet is down -3.15%. Apple is down -2.91%. Facebook is down -1.72% and Netflix is down -0.42%
