Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we start to get things going here on the session. It's been a sluggish start to the day so far as markets are caught in a bit of a lull but risk sentiment remains cautious amid lingering tensions between US and China.

But the pound is the notable mover in the past hour as it continues to fall in light of recent events overnight with Theresa May's Brexit deal seemingly dead on arrival once again. Cable is now at session lows back under the 1.2700 handle.

Looking ahead, the major theme impacting markets will still be the risk mood but I reckon we'll have to wait on Wall Street for more clues on where that will take us before the release of the FOMC meeting minutes.
