A report in the Japanese press about New Zealand PM Key proposing on Thursday concluding 12-country Pacific Rim free trade talks without Japan if it sticks to exceptional tariffs on agricultural produce.
- Key said: “If they can’t meet those terms and the other 11 partners can, then we should get on and do a deal with those 11 partners.” But, “My preference is to do this along with Japan”
