Well, OK, there’s a tiny bit:

The Bank of Japan conclude their two-day monetary policy meeting. No policy changes are expected. The announcement doesn’t have a fixed time (general information om the time of the release), it’ll come when the meeting concludes, likely around 0300GMT.

Governor Kuroda will hold a press conference later, at 0630GMT.

As a bonus, Richard Fisher, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is scheduled to speak at 2130GMT, at The Stephens CEO Summit – “Where innovative, forward-looking leaders of America’s business gather to share perspectives on global economic trends, pressing business issues and the ideas that are shaping the 21st century.” Cool.

Fisher “sheds light on the Fed’s budgetary future and what can be expected when interest rates finally rise”.

Sir John Major is speaking too.

ps. China markets are still closed, on holiday.
