Japan's prime minister Shinzo Abe speaks in Davos
- US-China trade frictions, Brexit, China slowdown are among risks to global economy
- Japan committed to enhance free, open, rules-based international order
- Believes Japanese economy is in a condition for raising sales tax in October
It's never a confident sign when lawmakers/policymakers start continuously defending their state of the economy as being 'robust'. But I guess the government is adamant not to delay the sales tax hike this time around, hence they have to put forward a confident front to back that up.
