Suddeutsche Zeitung says deal scheduled to be made today

A document obtained by the German press says leaders hope to reach a deal today and announce it on Monday.

The Suddeutsche Zeitung obtained a provisional timetable for negotiations, which is more of a hoped-for timeline than anything concrete.

"Deal made, nothing made public (in theory)", is the plan for today, the report says. The agreement would then be approved by the UK Government on Monday and announced.

I have little doubt that any deal would be immediately leaked. So far, there are no signs of a breakthrough on the Irish border backstop, which is the only major issue outstanding.
