Australia's official reserve assets grew to AUD85.83 bn in November
Latest data released by the RBA 7 Dec 2017
- Foreign exchange reserves grew from AUD 67.56 bn to AUD 75.13 bn
Increase in the RBA's foreign reserves following a dip in July. Well, if anything improving assets and foreign currency reserves are always a good thing for a central bank. Gives them more ammunition to do stuff, but the RBA isn't that kind of central bank to pull off such intervention (hint, hint, SN*).
AUD/USD is lower on the day trading at 0.7548 now, as trade balance data disappointed earlier.
