Will US add more now?
China is announcing $50B $34B of tariffs on US goods. Tariffs will be on agriculture and auto products.
Earlier in the day, Pres. Trump announced that if China was to retaliate that he would add more.
The tariffs will apply from the 6th of July. That is the same date for the US tariffs to go into effect. That gives each party some time to come to the table for a solution.
Meanwhile over on Fox business, Charlie Gasperino is saying that Treasury Secretary Mnuchin has warned Pres. Trump that tariffs in China could lead to dire economic consequences and perhaps a market collapse.
The S&P index is trading at 2773.25. Nasdaq is down about -20 points at 7741.
