Gold is having a bit of a soft one for the session at the beginning of the week.

Maybe it needs a bit of cheering up.
- China FX reserves came in above expectations and at the same time gold reserves up again
- China boosted gold purchases for the 6th consecutive month, bought 15.6 tonnes in May
- total reserves now 1,916 tonnes (74 tonnes have been bought since the end of November)
