China's trade surplus with the United States $27.3bn in January

• from $29.87bn in December
• China's exports to the United States - 2.4% y/y
• China imports from the United States -41.2% y/y.

Note, January data is often distorted by lunar new year movements year to year, so bear that in mind. January and February figures are often averaged for that reason. Tariff front-running further complicates matters this year.
