Comments by a senior EU official cited by Reuters
- December Brexit agreement could work for EU
- But could mean a tight schedule for UK parliament
- Up to European leaders to decide whether it is worth meeting in November on Brexit
- Theresa May's remarks overnight suggest a Brexit deal could be harder than expected
Well, the first signs of can being kicked down the road are already here. This isn't really a good prelude to the summit tomorrow. If there isn't any viable solution to be presented by May ahead of the summit dinner, I would expect European leaders to come to a decision that it's not worth meeting up in November and that will mean the timeline gets pushed back once again.
