–Points Finger Of Blame For Weak Economy At Congress
–Comments From CNBC TV Interview

LONDON (MNI) – Dallas Federal Reserve President Richard Fisher has
said that he would have voted against QE3 if he had a vote but said that
he understands the logic for extending the Fed’s asset purchase program.

In an interview with CNBC, Fisher also said that the US economy is
at “stall speed”, adding that the current level of growth is not strong
enough to create the jobs needed to bring down the country’s high
unemployment rate.

Fisher also said that the US Congress needs “to get its act
together” and set incentives for businesses to invest and to hire new
staff.
