The 7-day incidence rate keeps at 108.1

Germany

Total active cases across the country now climb to ~170,000 - the highest since 9 February, as the virus situation continues to move in the wrong direction in Germany.

Meanwhile, total deaths have increased to 75,212 persons as of the latest update.

As long as the 7-day incidence rate keeps at a high level as seen currently, it will be tough for local authorities to consider easing restrictions even after mid-April.

In terms of healthcare capacity, there were 3,171 (+26) virus patients requiring intensive care as of yesterday with there being just 3,508 (15%) intensive care beds still available.
