Italian bonds responding favourably after escaping ratings downgrade

Italy 10-year bond yields are down by nearly 12 bps

• S&P affirms Italy rating with outlook negative

That will certainly provide some relief for the ECB as this will help alleviate pressures on the yields spread - for now at least. In turn, this is also helping to add to the 'feel good' mood as we kick start trading this week.
