Seven lawmakers announce their resignation

Lawmaker Luciana Berger confirms resignation alongside six other lawmakers¹ but will still sit in parliament as an independent group of parliament members. Despite their disagreement with the party's leadership on Brexit and anti-Semitic views, the news here is hardly going to matter much for the pound unless it starts a major breakdown in UK politics that affects the government (Tories).
