Cable at the lows
Leaders in the EU and UK are sounding an optimistic note today but it appears we're at the 'put up or shut up' stage of negotiations. The market wants to see something done and something that May can get through her party and parliament.
Cable hasn't gotten any comfort from the comments and is now at the session lows, down 43 pips to 1.3073. The pair is now right back in the middle of its one-month range as we watch and wait.
