Huawei laptops return to Microsoft's online store

Huawei

It's tough being a company caught up in the US-China trade dispute. With the US having announced that they are easing the restrictions against Huawei for 90 days in late May, now Huawei laptops are back on the market again through Microsoft.

The US firm notes that the sales are on "existing inventory of Huawei devices", which they argue is compliant with current US regulations.

There's no doubt that Microsoft is starting to grow a little concerned about loss of market share and global revenue as Huawei looks set to develop their own OS (operating system) by the end of the year. The Chinese firm had also since postponed the launch of a new Windows-powered laptop that was due to be unveiled at the CES Asia Show last week.

In the bigger picture, you can see how all the small little details of a trade dispute between the US and China can have an impact on corporate earnings and the outlook. That in turn impacts the company's stock and markets in general.
