Earlier I noted talk in the Washington Post that China was irritated with the US declarations of victory after the G20 meeting. There were also indications that China hadn't agreed to what the US had said.

Now Mike Pillsbury, a former Pentagon official who reportedly briefed Trump the day before the meeting is sounding the alarm. In an Axios report he said that American are making claims about concessions that China never made.

The explicitly notes 'immediately' pledges to buy more US goods and lower tariffs on American cars.

I have advised the president's team that for the past 40 years the American side avoids disclosing Chinese concessions before the final agreed written statement is released," Pillsbury told Axios.
