Another huge result for the strong New Zealand economy.
From Statistics New Zealand:
- “The trend for new dwellings has almost doubled since March 2011, but is still 28 percent below the series peak in January 2004,” business indicators manager Neil Kelly said.
- Including apartments, the seasonally adjusted number of new dwellings consented rose 8.3 percent in March 2014, following falls in the previous two months.

The NZD had a small jump, its up about 10-odd points on the data but still just below overnight highs (as of writing)
