The New Zealand election has an interesting sideshow as a battle between Kim Dotcom and Prime Minister John Key brews.
Dotcom threw himself into the fray with the Internet Mana alliance and it could help take power away from Key. He’s hired journalist Glen Greenwald and he’s hinting that Julian Assage will get involved.
Dotcom announced today that five days before the Sept 20 election, he will drop a bombshell on the Prime Minister.
Asked will September 15 do more damage to Mr Key than the Dirty Politics book has, Mr Dotcom said: “I think so.”
The Internet Mana slate is polling at just 2.1% but the proportional representation system will allow them to gain some seats.

The election was looking like it would be an easy win for Key but he has begun to slide in the polls.
