Nothing on the data slate to come but BOE MPC's McCafferty up to the mic later

Just a heads up on what to expect from the event calendar 12 Feb

No data of note but for GBP traders we do have BOE MPC hawk McCafferty in a scheduled speech at 16.30 GMT

MPC dove Vieghe this morning focussed on the uncertainty of current outlook for economy and interest rates so let's see if Macca can give it a more hawkish tone or take the cautious route.

Expect some Brexit bs too with UK PM May meeting with Irish leaders today to discuss the crucial border issues.

GBPUSD still making its mind up currently at 1.3836 but once again near session lows after failing at 1.3875 earlier. EURGBP has held 0.8840 after chewing through some decent bids around 0.8850 and now 0.8858. GBPJPY testing 150.00 again.
