This via HSBC's preview of the oil meetings coming up, OPEC on June 22 and non-OPEC on June 23

Key dates to watch:

  • 19 June 2018: According to a preliminary schedule seen by Reuters (27 April) there is a technical committee monitoring meeting between OPEC and non-OPEC delegates.
  • 21 June 2018: 9th Meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) in Vienna. This meeting will involve both OPEC and non-OPEC delegates and should provide some indication of how they view the markets and what, if any, action they are planning to take.
  • 22 June 2018: 174th OPEC meeting with the official OPEC communiqué likely to come out in the late afternoon (GMT).
  • 23 June 2018: Non-OPEC delegates will meet with OPEC members according to preliminary schedule (Reuters, 27 April)

So, while June 22 is key, there is plenty to come next week in the days ahead.

HSBC's expectations on the outcome is further supply additions, but We wouldn't expect them to be too dramatic
