I guess it that is not a surprise
Pres. Trump said yesterday that the wall is being built already. Yet he still needs funding it seems. Or he simply needs to tell his base he got funding to build the wall one way or the other/needed or not needed. So the comment comes as no big surprise.
He adds:
- Emergency for wall would have strong legal standing
- May discuss the wall and national emergency on Feb 5th (State of the Union)
It may go to the courts to decide if that is indeed the case.
It was reported that a big border bust was made at the Arizona border crossing. The problem for Pres. Trumps argument, is it was at a border crossing and not at some remote entry point where the wall is to be built. The drugs were in the floor boards of a truck crossing and apparently was sniffed out by drug sniffing dogs.
Yesterday, Trump also announced that CHina and the US were also discussing fentanyl, the heroin substitute that Chinese companies have been sending illegally to the US.
