A Swiss government economist spoke to Reuters on the matter
Says that he/she expects 2018 Swiss GDP growth nearer to 3% than 2% now. The government had previously forecast growth for the Swiss economy this year at 2.4%.
The more upbeat tone here comes after the Swiss economy grew at its fastest annual pace since 2010 in Q2 2018. And that should continue to give the SNB added confidence and flexibility with regards to monetary policy decisions moving ahead.
