Trump is telling people he wants to replace Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross by the end of the year, according to three sources cited by CNBC.
"President Donald Trump is setting his sights on Linda McMahon," as the replacement, the report says. He is also considering Ray Washburne.
McMahon is the wife of WWE CEO Vince McMahon, a long time Trump friend.
There were rumors that Trump was unhappy with how Ross negotiated with China on tariffs and trade.
