The data measures only a proportion of the demand in the UK housing market - those which are approved by High Street Banks in the UK. UK Finance notes that consumer credit grew a little more than it did relative to October but overall lending activity remains subdued as economic uncertainty continues to weigh on the housing market. No thanks to Brexit of course that one.

Cable sits near flat levels on the day now at the lows around 1.2640 as the dollar gathers some poise while EUR/GBP is at 0.9057 ranging between the 0.9040-50 levels so far this session.
