  • Public sector net borrowing (ex-banks) £1.3 bn vs £3.0 bn expected
  • Prior (ex-banks) £1.3 bn; revised to £1.2 bn
  • Public finances (PSNCR) £0.5 bn vs £18.6 bn prior; revised to £19.1 bn

ONS highlights that tax revenues were the highest on record for a March reading, and the current budget shows a first full-year surplus for the first time since 2001/02.
