Latest data released by the Bank of England - 4 January 2018
- M4 money supply y/y +3.7% vs +4.1% prior
Well, the trend for 2017 seems to be a decrease in the M4 money supply. But with inflation already at such elevated levels, it's probably justified.
A minor data point as reference to the UK economy. Nothing much to glance upon here.
GBP/USD now at 1.3544 after jumping up 10 pips to 1.3546 upon the release of the UK data (mainly in reaction to the services PMI).
