The typical Brexit rhetoric doing the rounds here. As an update, May is currently still negotiating with European leaders to offer her concessions on the backstop; what she needs are legal assurances that it won't be open-ended. However, there still doesn't appear to be any breakthrough and UK and European lawmakers are set to observe their Christmas recess period later this week so expect this to drag on until the second week of January at least.
