Weekend - ECB’s Governing Council member (and potential new boss) Weidmann says he sees no need for policy change

Comments over the weekend from German Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann.

Weidmann is a strong contender to take over from current European Central Bank President Draghi when Draghi's term expires at the end of October 2019 (Dreghxit?)

• Says he sees no need for monetary policy change at present
• its not a situation where prices are falling and we have to react now

The next ECB meeting is still a good few weeks off, June 5 and 6.
