Nomura is calling for two rate hikes from the Bank of England in 2014, they say that the “first hike could come as soon as August/September with a second following in November/December”
Société Générale is calling for a hike in Q4 2014: “We are bringing forward our forecast of the first rate increase from Q1 2015 to Q4 2014 with the risk of even earlier. The first policy move will be made by the FPC, tho ugh. We expect the 17 June meeting to agree the first measures to rein in the housing market.”
