Catalonia’s government has decided to accept yesterday’s decision from Spain’s Constitutional Court and will not promote the Nov 9 referendum on independence.

Catalonia will fight the Constitutional Court decision legally but I highly doubt that will work.

“As a precautionary matter, we can’t put public servants and individuals against the ropes,” said spokesman Horns, citing potential liabilities.

Pfffff, I’ve never heard of a country winning independence by worrying about legal liabilities to the former nation.

This is good news for the euro.
