Current assessment for the Tohoku, Hokuriku, and Kyushu-Okinawa regions have been downgraded by the BOJ
- Assessment for the Hokkaido region has been upgraded (modestly recovering after the earthquake last year)
- Assessment for the other five regions are left unchanged
For the three regions that were downgraded, the BOJ noted that business investment and production/output are notably flat or weak which I reckon is representative of the global economic environment as a whole currently. The full report can be found here.
