Fed's Harker is speaking on the economic outlook and says:
- sees one hike in 2019 and 1 hike in 2020
- In wait-and-see mode on rates, still happily patient
- inflation pressure may be edging slightly down
- potential risks tilt varies slightly to the downside
- sees inflation slightly higher than 2% in 2019, 2020
- sees GDP growth above 2% 2019; Q1 closer to 1.5%
- US economy in good shape, data to influence policy views
Parker is not a voting member of 2019 (votes in 2020 if he is still around). He is the president of the Philadelphia Fed.
