Goldman Sachs on the January meeting Federal Open Market Committee minutes out during US time:

(in brief from chief economist Jan Hatzius' note … bolding mine)

On rates:

  • GS see only one hike in 2019

On balance sheet:

  • almost all participants thought it would be desirable to announce soon a plan to stop reducing the Fed's asset holdings later this year
  • participants agreed it was important for balance sheet policy to be flexible in principle
  • expect a March meeting announcement on the runoff, timing is end of the third quarter
