Moderate inflation figures in the US helping to lift the mood in Asia

Apart from mainland stocks which are almost flat, the rest of the region is seeing positive sentiment among the major bourses. US gains overnight certainly doesn't do sentiment any harm as well. Despite that, yen pairs aren't really finding much to cheer about as trading remains subdued for the most part today.
The yen gained quite a bit at the Tokyo fix earlier, but has pared most of its gain as of now. USD/JPY fell to a low of 109.20 during the session but now trades at 109.41 - basically unchanged on the day.
