BRUSSELS (MNI) – Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders Monday
stressed the need to set up guidelines as soon as possible for private
sector involvement in a new rescue package for Greece.

“We need to find a way [to set up] some guidelines today about the
private sector involvement and solution for Greece,” Reynders told
reporters as he arrived for the Eurogroup meeting here.

“I’m sure that [Eurozone finance ministers] will agree about the
voluntary basis, about the level playing field between the different
lenders,” the minister added.

Reynders also said that ministers were “concerned” about the
Eurozone and noted “tensions in the financial markets” in various member
states.

“Maybe more in Italy than in others, but we have [tensions] in the
whole Eurozone,” Reynders said. “We need to find a solution.”

“We want to go to a solution and first of all it’s a rollover,”
Reynders continued. “We expect that, but we will see what kind of
support [we get] from the different participants.”
