Der Spiegel reports on the matter

The report says that Germany is strongly defending the rights of EU fleets to fish in UK waters amid ongoing Brexit negotiations, citing remarks from an interview with German agricultural minister, Julia Klöckner:

"I won't sacrifice fishing for an agreement in other sectors. There can only be one common package."

In terms of actual developments, this isn't anything too new as it mainly reaffirms the EU's stance over the past week or so.

The constant barrage of pessimistic Brexit headlines is still keeping the pound somewhat grounded, as it trades little changed against the dollar around 1.2930-40 for the time being with key resistance still seen closer to the 1.3000 handle.
