UK Telegraph with the report Corbyn, leader of the Labour party, has been warned more members will quit:
The politics of all this is complex, but leading speculation seems to be:
- the 7 quits will in itself do little to alter the numbers in the House of Commons, the 7 had been ignoring the party line on Brexit anyway
- But it might prompt Corbyn to review his strategy
- Which could in turn lead May to be facing an emboldened campaign in her party to delay exit
- …. or even a 2nd referendum
If more join the 7 it seems likely the above scenario's probability strengthens.
But … I won't be making any predictions, this is an extremely volatile environment.
