Caterpillar reports results Tuesday morning
Caterpillar results are due in the premarket tomorrow but there are headlines crossing on global machine sales.
The rolling 3-month Sept machine sales:
LatAm +25% vs 18% prior
APAC +23% vs +28% prior
EAME +6% vs 9% prior
North America +28% vs 19% prior
World +21%
The pace of global sales is slower at 21% compared to 23% in August and 24% in July.
The company grabbed headlines three months ago saying global growth might be at the high water mark. That's proved to be true so far but the pace of the dip is certainly slow and 21% growth is hardly something to worry about. We'll get more color tomorrow in the earnings call.
