The Conference Boards new employment trends survey shows a continued decline in January, falling to 96.6 from 97.5. The index is down 18.6% over the last year.
Also crossing the wires is news that Russian exports tumbled in December. Their trade surplus narrowed to $4.6 bln vs $8.8 bln in November.
